The Final Days at Home Stay
Mohammed Ag Issa counting prayer beads
Amano Ag Issa, the Inhardant, making a shaft for a Tihardent
Fadimata Wallet Hamanu, the mother, making leather pillows,
which were later given as presents to Bess and I - Toureg Woman do work
Sister Ayisha bathing younger brother Akmad
Just before Site Visit, I tightened the chain on Akmads bike - so it wouldn't fall off all the time, like every 30 seconds, when Bess and I came back to Kalabankoro (Home Stay), Akmad was riding the bike on two wheels, in this picture he is working on peddling up the slight incline, Akmad is all self motivation, notice the technique he developed, he sits on the metal above the back wheel because the seat is too floppy
I gave Akmad a light Saber from the U.S.A., he loved it, they all loved it, I brought it out at night during our final family dance party, Akmad used up all the battery that night, here he is the next day... still loving the gift but sad to see us leave... every boy deserves a chance of becoming a Jedi.
